The history

The “infiorata” consists of creating, in the village’s streets, carpets and floral paintings with seeds, flowers and leaves collected by the inhabitants of Farnetella in the surrounding countryside. In Farnetella this tradition has been handed down for more than two centuries and it always takes place 9 Sundays after Easter: on Corpus Christi’s Sunday. The infiorata testimonies the love for this village, it confirms how people still feel like a community and experience the alleys of their village.

The festival

The festival is as a moment in which different artistic expressions come together. The literature, music, art and gastronomy in the afternoon blend with the tradition and spirituality in the morning. The event is free and open to all.
